Match Report: Calverley Utd 0-2 Bradford United
Midweek game. These are always tough no matter the availability or the opposition. It was beautiful evening for a change. Ideal for game football. A repeat of the cup final less than a week ago, nevertheless there was 3 points up for grabs. Calverley looking to finish their season on high.
Both teams not at their best with fringe players coming in to try and take a claim to a starting spot for next season. A professional performance from Bradford United in the end. Got the job done. Clean sheet. Two goals. Should have been a lot more but United will take the points and move onto the last game of the season.
Brilliant to see a number of players step up from the 23s to gain experience and show what they can do. 1st team debut for 23s captain Rayhan Khan who has been developing impressively over the last few seasons with the youth teams. The first team has a very young average age and the club prioritising developing their own talents then bringing in marquee signings seems be baring fruit.
Musa Jallow has taken to the first team like duck on water. Scoring hatful of goals and missing even more. Fantastic young talent who will only grow.
MOM – Haaris – was excellent all game. Played with passion and gave 100% in everything he did. Was also stand in skipper today and led by example with excellent work rate and desire.
